Alarm.com ADC-VDB755P Pro Series PoE Video Doorbell Station

The ADC-VDB755P is Alarm.com's very first video doorbell camera that is PoE (Power-over-Ethernet) compatible. For those unfamiliar with PoE, this means the doorbell can be powered using a PoE-capable router, or Alarm.com SVR. On that note, the VDB755P is the only video doorbell compatible with Alarm.com SVRs, so you can have continuously recorded footage stored on the SVR hard drives. Along with all Alarm.com-developed Video Doorbells, the VDB755P includes Alarm.com's advanced video analytics for people detection to ensure you only receive clips and notifications when an actual person is approaching the front door. The VDB755P features a maximum resolution of 1440x1440 over a 150-degree vertical by 150-degree horizontal viewing area, giving you a clear, full view of your porch. In addition, this camera offers full duplex 2-way audio, allowing you to quickly and clearly communicate through the Alarm.com app with anyone on the other end of the camera. 

The ADC-VDB755P is compatible with both digital and mechanical chimes if you have an existing doorbell installed and wish to reuse your existing chime. The W115C Smart Chime is also compatible with the VDB755P if you do not have an existing wired doorbell chime. While it can be troublesome routing an ethernet cable to your doorbell location, if you can get one in place, installation of the VDB755P is very simple. Ensure you power down your PoE connection, and existing doorbell chime (if applicable), install the backplate of the camera, connect the wires you'll be using, and place the doorbell in its back plate. Once installed power up your PoE connection and chime and the doorbell will be ready to enroll on your Alarm.com account. Keep in mind to use an Alarm.com doorbell camera, you will need an Alarm.com video package, or if you have an existing interactive package for an alarm system, you can use the Video Doorbell Add-on.
