The Western Digital (WD) Purple series SD cards are specifically designed for video recording. Offering very high-speed write capability, the WD Purple SD cards will never miss any recording coming from the camera. In addition to high write speeds, the WD Purple series is designed to be rewritten many times over, referring to your older footage being overwritten as new footage is saved. Due to this design, they can last much longer than standard SD cards being written over in that fashion. Due to that, Alarm.com deemed them the best SD cards that can be used when you want to onboard record with their cameras. 

There are multiple models of the WD Purple SD cards to choose from, offering different memory sizes. Using the chart below pulled from Alarm.com's knowledge base, you can estimate how long your cameras will be able to record. Using higher settings on the Alarm.com cameras increases the amount of memory used and vice versa.
